Federal Way Community Center
“Federal Way Community Center has a great children’s pool and party room,” shares local Jennifer Dovey. “What kid doesn’t like splashing in warm water?” Not only does the Federal Way Community Center offer a long list of top-notch facilities and programs to the community, but they even offer birthday party packages!

Pattison’s West Skating Center
Chad Beckwith highly recommends this popular local spot for birthday parties—they have everything you need for a memorable time right in one spot! “Pattison’s West Skating Center [has been] family owned since 1979. The staff is first class and the building is fun for all,” he shares.
“[The skating center has] Inline skates, traditional skates, and speed skate rentals, a full video arcade, in-house fresh made pizzas, cotton candy, killer nachos, and wonderful staff to help bring in a special birthday year round.” They have several different party package options (including food, goody bags and other fun swag!), and packages start at $139.95. “A great place to host a kids party in Federal Way is Laser Quest,” says local Terri Reade. “The staff is amazing and they have party rooms that accommodate a large group of kids and their families. I love it because you can bring in food or they can cater and the clean up is minimal. The kids have a blast and run off all the sugar from cake and ice cream!”
Prices start at $15/person with a minimum of 8 players on a team, and there are a few different party packages available. In addition to 2 hours of playing, you get complimentary invites, great deals on pizza, fridge and freezer access for any extra food you bring, and potentially more depending on your package. Linda Letney highly recommends Trampoline Nation in Federal Way—“Children love the trampolines and time will fly! They will be sure to earn their pizza!” Not only will kids love this trampoline paradise, but adults can join in on the fun, too!
Party packages start at $150 and include things like an hour of jump time for 5 people, a private party room, a cheese pizza, and more depending on your package selection.
Steel Lake Park & Family Funland
Looking for a cheaper birthday party option? When the weather warms up, Maureen Donhauser recommends heading to one of Federal Way’s beautiful parks! “There are several parks you can rent out tables in public places or parks. Steel Lake has a covered seating area which can accommodate a large party, a small built-in charcoal BBQ, and a large play place and swimming area with ample amounts of sand for the kids. There is also fishing for the adults!”
Steel Lake Park & Family Funland offers 52 acres of outdoor beauty that’s perfect for any get-together. In addition to tons of parking, you can take advantage of beach access, a playground, picnic areas, a boat launch for non-motorized watercraft, a horseshoe pit and skateboard park nearby, a volleyball pit, and much more!
